Results from 6/13/23—Week Five

At the halfway point of the regular season, there is now a three-way tie for the lead in the Richland Center Church League Softball standings.

The Mission took down previously undefeated Hidden Valley Community 9-7. Bryson Clarson had a clutch hit for the Mission. Mike Dreischmeier went 3 for 4 and scored 3 runs. Brody Smith added a two run double. Nolan Thompson, Jim Luxton and Christian Eernisse all had three hits and Nolan Thompson had some great defensive plays for Hidden Valley. Both teams are now 4-1 on the season.

Richland Baptist Temple also moved up to 4-1 and a tie for first as they shut out Boscobel Assembly of God 8-0. David Harper had two double plays and Nathan Kanable had an awesome catch in right field. Malachai Fretz had an inside-the-park home run.

And, Church of the Nazarene topped Readstown Church of Christ 23-8. Every player had at least two hits for the Nazarenes. Dave Frank was 2 for 3 with a homer and a triple to lead Readstown.
