2018 CLS Tourney Concludes!

The 2018 RC Church League tournament champion was decided Tuesday night.

In the consolation game, Hidden Valley Community knocked out St. Mary’s KCs 8-0. Jim Luxton pitched the shutout and he and Ben Thompson each reached base three times safely.

That set up a rematch between Hidden Valley and The Mission I. The Mission I jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the first inning, and held on to cinch a 9-7 victory and the 2018 tournament championship. Shane Sosinsky led The Mission going 3 for 4 that included a homerun and 5 RBI's. Brody Tyler led Hidden Valley, going 3 for 3. Andrew Thompson had a 6 for 7 night for Hidden Valley in the two games they played.

The CLS season wraps up Tuesday night, August 28 with the inaugural Church League All Star Game:

Each of the league’s teams have designated two players for the game. The rosters have been divided into “Team Twining” managed by Bill Twining and “Team Frank” managed by Dave Frank. The game will be played at 7pm on the East diamond. Everyone is encouraged to come out and enjoy one last game to cap the 2018 CLS Season!
